any printed catalog or static website. We also feature thousands of
highly detailed, full-color product images on our site, many of which
can be enlarged for even greater detail.
- Shipping.
Let's face it. Most mail order catalogs just plain rip off their customers
when it comes time to ship their purchase. Some charge the customer's
credit card weeks before their order is shipped, and overcharge
on shipping and handling to pad their profits further. At Starbase1.com,
we think that it's wrong to base shipping charges on merchandise cost.

- Speed. Ever
placed an online order and ended up waiting weeks, even months
for your order to arrive? At Starbase1.com, we ship out in stock items
within 48 hours after you have placed your order. Using our Impulse
Speed shipping option, this means that you should get your order in
the US and Canada within 6-10 days, faster if you specify either Warp
Speed (3-5 days), or Transwarp (overnight). Please note that overnight
orders need to be placed before 2PM Eastern Standard Time. For the best

Our online ordering system uses industry-standard SSL (Secure Socket
Layers) for order placement and retrieval. At no time is your sensitive
credit card information transmitted across public networks insecurely.
This method is more secure than sending such information by phone
or fax, even. We do also accept orders by phone and fax for those customers
who prefer it.
