This Bastet stands 8 1/4 inches tell and is black with gold accents. A delicate gold chain suspends a scarab medallion around its neck. Heiroglyphic symbols adorn the base. The cold cast resin composite material gives it the look of an authentic Ancient Egyptian artifact. This makes an excellent companion piece for item #5069.
The sacred cat is the animal incarnation of the goddess Bast or Bastet. She was the protector of women as well as a loving goddess who reveled in music and dance. Also, as the protector against disease and evil spirits, Bast was a highly regarded goddess in Egyptian culture.
